Undergraduate interns have completed their final projects for the Spring 2025 Digital Design Atlas Internship! Throughout the semester each intern performed historical research on a topic having to do with the global past and created their own atlas, a spatial database about that topic. Interns then combined writing, images, narrative, georeferenced historical maps, and interactive authored maps to tell a story about their topic using ArcGIS StoryMaps. Interns completed their projects under the direction of Dr. Jesse Obert the WHC's Postdoctoral Fellow in Digital World History. During his two-year appointment, Jesse has trained over 25 interns in digital and spatial history methods. A big thanks from everyone at the Center to Jesse for his amazing work with students during his term!
